copihue

The copihue (Lapageria rosea), also known as the Chilean bellflower, is a species of flowering plant recognized as the national flower of the Republic of Chile. It is an illioid monocot and the only member of its genus, but has over twenty cultivars. The climbing plant has green leaves year-round, and the droopy flowers are often red with faint white spots.
