Character: dr. zaius

Dr. Zaius, the first villain of the Planet of the Apes sci-fi franchise, was a lot more than just a "bad guy" in the 1968 film. Doctor Zaius, the orangutan Minister of Science and Chief Defender of the Faith, as portrayed by Maurice Evans in the 1968 Planet of the Apes, was not a typical science fiction movie villain.
