A form of composition in which one character stands heroically, while another is on the ground beneath them (sitting, kneeling, etc), generally holding onto the former's leg.

Name taken from this 2014 article by Yeoman Lowbrow, where he displays not only the eponymous Conan the Barbarian examples, but many posters and covers throughout the 70's and 80's.
