The Brave Little Abacus were an emo band from New Hampshire that formed in 2007 and disbanded in 2012. They are known for their experimental approach to the Midwest style of emo, incorporating elements of electronica, instruments unusual to the genre, and nasally vocals. Initially obscure, their discography, most notably their two LPs (Masked Dancers and Just Got Back), experienced a resurgence of interest in the late 2010s years after their disbandment. The band has since gained a cult following and is often cited as a major influence of the 5th wave of emo.
