The Venlil are a race of aliens prominent in the science fiction Web Serial Novel The Nature of Predators. They are native to Venlil Prime, the third planet of the Gliese 832 star system.

Venlil are herbivorous, bipedal mammals with spindly, knock-kneed legs. They are rather short compared to humans, only standing as tall as the average person's shoulder. They also have a long tail that is often used for non-verbal communication. Venlil have relatively flat facial features with rabbit-like ears and large, side-facing, slitted eyes. Most notably, the Venlil lack noses and, with it, any sense of smell. Their entire body is covered in woolly fur, typically solid grey in color with exception to sparse tufts and stripes. While the Venlil possess short claws, these are nearly useless for combat or defense purposes. Out of all member species of the Federation, the Venlil are considered one of the weakest.
