SCP-2295 is a living plush character from the mythos of the SCP Foundation website. Their debut story, SCP-2295 — The Bear with a Heart of Patchwork, was posted in April 2015 by a writer known as K Mota, and is the only work published by them to the site. This story was written as an antithesis to an earlier story on the website, SCP-1048 — Builder Bear. It has also an inaugurate of the site's "Bearitage Collection", an ursine hall of fame from April Fool's Day 2019.

SCP-2295 is an animated teddy bear, classified by the SCP Foundation as a Safe-class object. Standing 46 centimeters (18.1 inches) tall, their appearance is non-uniform and variable, being made out of numerous fabric patches of varying synthetic fibers, colors, and patterns. They are mostly nude, wearing only a bow ribbon around their neck and a pin button with the design of a human heart affixed to the left side of their torso. Canonically, SCP-2295 only animates when within two meters of a person requiring medical assistance, but can be depicted being active at any point per artistic liberties.

SCP-2295's most outstanding ability is to provide medical aid solely through use of sewing materials. If presented to someone with damaged or failing organs, will construct a plush facsimile from any available materials, even willing to sacrifice portions of their own patches and cotton stuffing to complete it. SCP-2295 will regenerate expended stuffing, but will require additional fabric and threading to fully repair themself afterwards. They are capable of dexterous actions in their craftsmanship, despite having no fingers. They also prioritize treatment by age, invariably assisting in order from the youngest to the oldest.

These plush organs, designated SCP-2295-1, are transplanted into SCP-2295's patients via teleportation, where upon they replace the damaged tissue and function with full efficiency despite the obvious biological, chemical, and medical incompatibilities. The only limitation to SCP-2295's care is that they are not capable or willing to replace any portions of a brain, even in the event of terminal cerebral hemorrhaging; in these events, SCP-2295 will comfort those in their final moments by hugging them and manifesting chocolate bars. While SCP-2295 cannot talk and can only communicate nonverbally, it is readily apparent that they are highly compassionate, charitable, and selfless.

Little of SCP-2295's history is known to the SCP Foundation. They were recovered from the site of a crashed mail delivery vehicle, where they were accompanied by a get well soon card. The card indicated their name was Kairos the Bear (Greek: καιρός "the right, critical, or opportune moment"), and was being gifted from a grandmother to her grandson.

The tale Reap What You Sew by S D Locke gives a potential backstory to SCP-2295 that relates them to SCP-1048. "Mr. Bear" was a fluffy brown teddy bear that spontaneously came to life July 19th, 1937 in the natal ward of a hospital, with an innate knowledge of his purpose and paranormal nature. That same evening, Mr. Bear came into the possession of Michael Farris, a prematurely born baby he saved the life of by salvaging the other non-living plushies for resources. Mr. Bear was Michael's favorite secretly-alive toy for the next two years until a fire claimed the Farris house; Mr. Bear was unable to rescue Michael from the fire, but Michael ending up possessing Mr. Bear's body while Mr. Bear's soul lived on in a lost tuft of cotton. Kyle Mitchell, a firefighter-trainee, recovered Mr. Bear's surviving cotton and sew him a new patchwork body, named him Kairos, and sent him out into the world to help others, where he would eventually be found and designated SCP-2295.
