A species of reptilian origin from Trials in Tainted Space native to a small, quite hostile planet orbiting Alpha Centauri (hence their common nickname, Centaurins). These six-legged taurs are covered in natural armor, thick, leathery scales for their lower bodies and a chitinous secondary layer protecting their flanks, arms, legs, and tail.
