Nidoran (Jp. ニドラン Nidoran) are a pair of small, mammalian, Poison-type Pokemon. Because Nidoran's gender differences predate Pokémon having genders in the games, they remain as two separate species in the Pokédex, but this tag is used for both.

Nidoran have traits resembling rabbits and porcupines. They are quadrupedal, and have large, spiny ears, buckteeth, red eyes, spots, back spines, and a horn on their forehead.

Female Nidoran are light blue and have whiskers. Male Nidoran are purple and have larger ears and horns. Their shiny colors resemble the opposite gender's.
