Coach Sam is an anthro male Samurott character created by the artist furry Zourik. His first appearance is in a set of images, who went on to create the comic Setting Up the Bait.

Since he's a Samurott: His entire body is dark blue, except for the center of his belly, which is a slightly lighter shade of blue.

His eyebrows, whiskers, and beard are white, and he has a small red nose. His head is surmounted by a very large shell ending in a point that looks like a horn...
His toes and fingers are black.

As his name suggests, Coach Sam is a swimming coach; one of his pupils, Nathan, is very often pictured with him.

His Hisui's counterpart is Lieutenant Sousuke.
