The High Guardian takes an active role as a character in the plot of the story, leading groups of Champions through the storyline to restore peace and undo an evil conspiracy that has turned the peoples of the land against one another.
The player unlocks new skins for the high guardian avatar throughout the progressions, mostly variations on its garments, but a few change its appearance entirely.
