Multilevel Micro describes when two or more characters are both micro in size, but are of notably different scales. This can also be applied to scenarios where an already micro sized character is shown interacting with a shrunken city or shrunken planet that is smaller than the micro character.
Multilevel micro often involves a much larger normal sized character, who is interacting with the larger micro sized character(s), while that character is in turn, interacting with, or at least, looming/towering over the even smaller micro sized character(s). Smaller micro characters may fall under nano, especially when they are drawn as little more than vague humanoid shapes.
