Edvards joined the navy of a neighboring country after running away from his home country that was being destroyed from war. He had no family, friends, or any formal education to speak of, but what he did have was enough ambition and pent up rage he was able to use for his own personal gain in the armed forces.

After successfully saving his country from multiple invading armies overseas, he transferred his rank and career back to the navy belonging to his country of origin where he continued his life as a sailor and climbed the ranks.

Due to his species extremely long life span he accomplished much more during his career than most other sailors would have. He was able to get an education (which the navy did not pay for), and influenced positive political changes as well in his home country.

He was also able to reach the highest rank of the navy while still being considered an adolescent for his species at 67 years of age.

He was unfortunately reported KIA by a single surviving sailor of a sunken naval ship.
