tomoe (symbol)
A Japanese symbol that consists of one or more comma-like shapes arranged in a swirl, historically used as the crest for various samurai clans.
Most commonly there are no more than four, and Renamon is a particularly popular example of tomoe.
In contrast to the similar cancer_(symbol), a tomoe is often filled in, and tomoe outlines typically have a much thicker "tail".
