Hailing from the Rivermane Tribe, one of the four major tribes based in the region of Highmountain, Nata is a curious and innocent youth that has taken after her peoples' major tradition of shamanism. She was orphaned as an infant when her parents were lost to mysterious circumstances, after which she was gripped by the beginning of a long and terrible bout of illness, waxing and waning throughout her life but never truly subsiding until a couple of years before reaching adulthood when her lifelong condition inexplicably cleared.

Being confined indoors and bedridden for most of her life has instilled within her a set of values and desires that stand at odds with each other in some rather amusing juxtapositions: a wish to see the world at large while at the same time being too afraid to leave the comfort of home; and a longing to help others, stifled by an almost crippling shyness around unfamiliar company. It's not a question of whether or not she has the means to act upon her dreams, however, as the mild periods of her illness gave her plenty of time to hone a few skills and hobbies, be it knitting clothing for the tribe's children, or carving totems for the other shaman to use. It would come across as a surprise even to those closest to her that she wound up forming a surprisingly powerful bond with the elements throughout her youth, as the spirits of the elemental plane were a constant companion for her when she otherwise lacked friends and good company.

Displaced from her home by the destruction of Riverbend, Nata has never had a better excuse to begin her adventures. Having found stalwart companions to journey with, she travels across the Broken Isles, woefully innocent of the real gravity behind the ongoing conflict against the Burning Legion, yet determined to do her part in whatever way she can.
