A thick sheet or layer of hard and solid material (usually metal) that is on a character's face.
Coverage varies from small portions of the face to large sections.
If it's covering a majority of the face then it's also a mask.
If it also covers the dome of the head then it's also a helmet.

• A medical prosthesis or patch to protect/support a damaged section of the face.
• An exterior plating for cybernetics (specifically a cybernetic face).
• A natural bodily growth such as an exoskeleton or a particularly thick scale.
