Kimba (Leo in Japan) is the titular character of the series Kimba the White Lion (Jungle Emperor in Japan) created by Osamu Tezuka in 1950. He is a white Lion that after the death of his parents, swore to protect the jungle in Africa from poachers and hunters as well as trying to civilize all the animals to act more like humans. There are multiple iterations of the story that follow the character that have him as a lion cub or an adult lion.
