She lost her family home a long time ago as it wasn't, uhhh, entirely legally built (unbeknownst to her), and the city tore it down. Her current "home" consists mostly of cardboard and is located outdoors behind an electrical substation; you have to climb through bushes and a hole in a wire fence to reach the spot which explains the leaves and the occasional bandage on her. She is very resourceful, though, so she will be alright! Perhaps she will be able to build or find a proper new home in the future.
