This tag is used for images or animations whose entire composition is only or almost only composed of just lines and shades of a single hue. The term is sometimes mixed up with restricted palette when the hues used are similar.
Types of Monochrome
- Greyscale - Images composed solely in varying shades of grey. Not to be confused with black and white.
- Sepia - Images composed solely in shades of the color sepia, i.e. a dark brown mixed with grey.
