A computer input device paired with a drawing tablet, which enables a user to write and draw on the surface or screen of the tablet and have those strokes appear digitally. Tablet pens resemble a traditional pen in form, although they are often thicker in diameter, and feature buttons on the side of the shaft.

While tablet pens are primarily used in the creation of digital art, they can be used to to move the cursor and click on things onscreen, in the same way a computer mouse or trackpad can.
