Virgin vs. Chad is a meme format comparing two things, with "the virgin (blank)" labelled with several negative traits, and "the chad (blank)" labelled with positive traits. What is compared can vary from characters, fans of something, pieces of media, or even inanimate objects.

In the original version, the virgin is a slouched, pale man wearing dark clothing (see example two above, featuring the original "virgin"), and is described as having low confidence, low self esteem, and physically weak through several statements. The virgin is contrasted with a conventionally attractive, muscular "alpha male" with disproportionately small legs and big arms. The Chad is usually labelled with humorously exaggerated descriptions of how the Chad is strong, confident, loud and outgoing.
This often translates to comparisons between the "Virgin" and "Chad" being exaggerated and satirical, rather than a genuine opinion.

The terms "Virgin" and "Chad" have popularized the usage of "Virgin" and "Chad" as slang terms to describe an individual's competency, skill, confidence, or character. This meme has also inspired further memes using the term "Chad" like Yes Chad and Gigachad. The format has been repeated conceptually in the form of average fan vs. average enjoyer and the dogelore version, featuring swole doge and cheems.

Not only should this tag be used if the Meme Format is used, but it should also be used if a character is deliberately drawn to resemble the characters in the original image such as a character drawn with the Chad's Pink Tank Top, Green Pants, and Yellow Shoes, or a character that is drawn performing the "chad stride" pose.
