Character: joe (strange flesh)
Joe is the main antagonist and anti-villain in Strange Flesh, an adult side-scrolling beat-'em-up by Greatest Bear Studios.
Joe is a British Man in his late 30's early 40's, trapped in a dead end day job and coping with alcoholism. In his youth, his mind was willed with imagination and dreams from the various fantasy movies and books that he enjoyed. He had hoped to write a fantasy novel, or make a game, or even direct a movie or play. He also had a passion for music, and his greatest dream was to become a famous Punk Rockstar. However, after he graduated from High School and he parted ways with his schoolmates, he lost his nerve of taking the risk of following his dreams, and instead became an office drone. Gradually resigning to himself that he would never be able to fulfill his fantasies and be stuck with a job he hates until he dies. Joe is also Gay but in the closet.
One night, Joe by chance stumbles into the eponymous Gay Bar, Strange Flesh and encounters The Bartender. He is selected by the Bartender to become warped into an Agent of Flesh, corrupted and perverted into a tool to spread The Bar's influence.
By default, Joe has the appearance of a slightly chubby Caucasian Human Male, with a five o'clock shadow and black hair with a receding hairline and sideburns. He wears a forest green dress shirt, with rolled up sleeves exposing his hairy arms, a black necktie, dark colored dress pants, and cedar dress shoes. When The Bartender invades Joe's mind, Joe's subconscious will begin to defend his innermost thoughts and desires by creating Projections of Joe's Ego and Figments of Joe's Imagination. Some of the Figment have Joe's likeness integrated into their appearance and abilities and all of Joe's Projections are a representation of Joe as he is or how he wishes to be. Projections
- Joe0 - The most accurate Projection of Joe to the real deal, except slightly shorter.
- Joe1 - Nearly identical to Joe0, except he represents Joe when he is most upset or tired, making him hostile to the Bartender
- Joe2 - Represents Joe if he did pursue his love of music. Is taller, fatter, more muscular. and harrier than Joe0 and Joe1. Trades out Joe's uniform for a dark violet leather jacket, a t-shirt, jeans, leather boots, and a chain necklace.
- Joe3 - Represents Joe if he was more comfortable with his sexual preferences. Is taller, fatter, and more muscular than Joe2. Wears a periwinkle tank top and forest green kilt with a lock and chain around his neck and black weight lifting gloves. His hair is styled as a short green mohawk. Also appears to suffer from priapism.
- Joe4 - Represents as somewhat exaggerated version of what Joe would be if he was completely open with his sexuality and his love of music. Taller and more muscular than Joe3, and dressed like a leather daddy while sporting an untamed black beard with green highlights. a wildly long, spikey green mohawk, and several piercings in his nose and ears. Wears an open, sleeveless, leather jacket, a leather jockstrap, leather boots, spiked leather gloves, a spiked leather collar, and jeans.
- Joe5 - Also known as The Innermost Desires of Joe and the Punk God and acts as the games final boss. Unlike the other projections, this version of Joe is a large musclegut Orc wearing red leather thigh high boots and matching shoulder pads. He has pointed ears, olive green skin, a head of green hair and matching beard, and piercing in his penis, nipples, tongue, chin, and ears. He floats to through the air, playing an modified electric guitar that uses a microphone as a pick, his dick instead of fingers to play different notes. The musical instruments are connected via wires that protrude from his body.
Figments
- Office Angel - A teal disembodied head of Joe with tiny legs angel wings and a stack of papers on its head. Represents the honest effort Joe puts in his job.
- Columbian Rescue - A crazed anthropomorphic pitcher of Coffee with Joe's Head for a lid and his arm for a handle. Represents Joe's caffeine addiction.
- Punk Puppy - An azure dog that occasionally transforms into Joe as a dog man. Represents Joe's love for Punk Rock.
- Party Animal - A teddy bear dressed as a leather daddy with a shaved torso and a removable head. Juggles several bottles of alcohol, with one of them being made out of Joe's Face. Represents how Joe tends to lose his head when he gets drunk and starts behaving like Figments 3-5.
- Fister - Joe's Butt walking backwards, with the upper torso replaced with a humanoid resembling a Rock Em' Sock Em' facing forwards. A boxing gloved fist extends out of the entity's anus. Represents Joe's Masturbation habits, as well as his sexually submissive preferences.
- The Virus From Venus - A humanoid resembling a reanimated corpse of Joe with a hyper penis. Attacks by ejaculating cum that makes The Bartender very drunk. Dies immediately after attacking. Emerges from the corpses of seduced Projections after level 3. Represents Joe's ability to have sex with women and stay in the closet while drunk.
