Crotch cutout describes an intentional "window" or hole in a piece of clothing exposing parts of the wearer's crotch or pubic region, this is often done to expose the genitals. While there's overlap with crotchless clothing not all clothing with crotch cutouts are entirely crotchless, and not all crotchless clothing is merely a cutout in the garment.
