A heart container is a health upgrade featured in The Legend of Zelda video games series. The object is heart shaped with decorative features along its surface. Some versions are simplistic while others have an ornate design. The heart may appear like a large gem or crystal.

Most of the games have two types of heart containers, and both should be included in this tag. The first type and the most common is a heart piece, which are hidden throughout the overworld for the player to collect. It takes multiple heart pieces to form a complete heart container. The second type is a heart container which are larger than a heart piece. These are rewarded to the player after defeating dungeon bosses.

Despite its name, this object is not a container. It is named for the extra heart that gets added to the health bar upon being picked up.
