scaly tail
This tag is to be used when a non-scaly creature has a scaly tail. This may be relevant to chimeras and some animal humanoids. Please don’t use this tag on creatures that would normally have scaly tails anyway—it’s meant to be used to identify unusual cases.
Not to be confused with
- scalie - This tag refers to a large group of species, most commonly defined by having a scaly body. With the exception of some scalie_humanoids, scalies usually should not receive the scaly_tail tag.
- tail_ridge - This tag refers to the large, usually dull scales or protrusions that can be found along the top of the tail in some scalie species such as crocodilians. These two tags may be combined, but only tail_ridge is appropriate if the rest of the creature is scaly.
