xbox wireless controller
The Xbox Wireless Controller the official game controller of the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S consoles, and also commercialized for Microsoft Windows PCs. It maintains the overall layout of its predecessor, the Xbox 360 controller, but with refinements to its shape, analog sticks, shoulder buttons, and triggers. It's received multiple revisions over the years. The first version of the controller was introduced in 2013 with the launch of the Xbox One.
- Note that "Wireless Controller" is purely part of its official brand name; it can be used as a wired controller with a USB cable attached to it. The controller still gets this tag even if there is a USB cable attached to it in the post.
- A wireless Xbox 360 controller does not count towards this tag, as that controller has a number of differences between that and this controller (e.g. the prominent battery casing on the back of the wireless 360 controller, which the Xbox Wireless Controller has flush with the rest of the body).
