Species: monk parakeet
The monk parakeet (Myiopsitta monachus) or the Quaker parakeet is a true parrot native to temperate and subtropical areas of Argentina while escaped feral populations have established themselves in many places in North America and Europe. They are social and intelligent birds, often bred as pets. They are classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
