A race of sentient, omnivorous, humanoid plants from the Guild Wars universe, and one of its five playable races. Sylvari closely resemble humans in many structural respects, yet have leafy or bark-like skin, hair not unlike foliage, and bioluminescent trails along their body.

Sylvari do not reproduce like other races via sexual intercourse and insemination; however, they are officially stated as having human-like genitals (and breasts) that they can use for the purpose of recreational or intimate sex. Gender identity often (but not always) matches their physical "sex". Same-sex relationships and non-hetero interests are about as common as average among the Sylvari culture.
