guard position
Guard position is a front entry sexual position featuring the giving partner in a kneeling or sitting position, while supporting or lifting the hips of the receiving partner off of the ground or resting surface. The receiving partner's body should be positioned at a downward angle from their partner, but not so severe that their back arches.
For tagging purposes, a character is only considered lying if the bulk of their torso is touching a surface. Depending on the penetration angle, this may or may not involve lying.
Not to be confused with
- amazon_position - The receiving / penetrated partner switches positions, and becomes the kneeling / crouching / standing partner instead.
- anvil_position - The guard position may be similar to anvil, but the anvil position does not typically involve raised hips. This tag should probably be used instead unless the position closely resembles the criteria for anvil position.
- missionary_position - Most examples will be kneeling making them incompatible with typical missionary positions.
Variations
It is not yet decided whether these variations should be kept separate or be included in this tag. These positions are all very closely related.
- arch_position - The partial bridge position, it is named arch because this position's downward angle is more inclined causing a character's back to arch.
- bridge_position - The full bridge position, it requires that the receiver's upper body to be supported typically by their arms, but applies to any similar position where the character's body is lifted off of the resting surface and the angle becomes mostly horizontal (neutral).
- reverse_wheelbarrow_position - A variation of the arch position featuring an even more extreme downward angle due to the giving partner standing instead of kneeling. Due to partner size differences, this position may resemble the arch position. The angle may also be lessened by the character extending their arms similar to bridge position.
