The blue-footed booby (Sula nebouxi) is a seabird known for its distinctive blue feet and is not actually a breast creature. It is the most common and widespread of the boobies. There are two recognized subspecies living along the Pacific coast of Central and South America as well as the Galapagos Islands. They are classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.

Because they catch fish by diving headlong into the water, they can't breathe through their permanently closed nostrils, instead using the corners of their mouths.
