A headshot portrait is a portrait which uses a photographic technique where the focus of the image is on a person's head, neck and face.

These kind of posts make for good avatars.

Not to be confused with

• bust_portrait
• shot_in_head, which implies being literally shot in the head by a projectile.

Portrait tags

• portrait
• headshot portrait - shows only the character's head and neck
• bust portrait - shows only from the character's shoulders/upper chest and up
• half-length portrait - shows only from the waist and up (or as far down as the hips to head)
• three-quarter portrait - shows only from their legs (thigh/ankles) and up
• full-length portrait - shows the whole character (from head to foot)
