Rear admiral position is a rear-entry position where the penetrating partner is standing or crouching (no knees on the ground) upright, while the receiving partner is laying their torso down and having their hindquarters raised up.

• If the receiving partner is in all fours instead of having hindquarters raised, this instead becomes doggystyle.
• If the receiving partner is lying prone instead of having hindquarters raised, this instead becomes jockey_position.
• If the penetrating partner is kneeling (knees on the ground) instead of standing, this becomes leapfrog_position instead.
