Tropidophiidae is a family of nonvenomous amerophidian snakes with the common names of dwarf boas and thunder snakes and collateral adjective of tropidophiid.

Despite their common name, Tropidophiid snakes are not actual boas, and are more distantly related to the Boidae family than it is to Pythonidae.
