When a fastened button snaps and flies off due to body of the wearer stretching the clothing and straining the buttons to their breaking point. In most cases, this involves some sort of stress from the character's chest, breasts, or belly.

An impending button pop may be indicated by straining buttons.

weight gain
expansion, especially breast expansion
stuffing
inflation
growth in general
body size growth, in this case the button popping usually occurs along with torn clothing
muscle growth
a muscular character flexing their chest, causing an undersized shirt to burst its buttons
a character with large breasts wearing undersized clothing
