sun
A sun (also known as a star) is a celestial body composed of a massive, luminous ball of plasma held together by gravity. A sun attracts other celestial bodies that rotate around it in cycles known as orbits.
Being the primary source of light for a planet, a sun is easily the brightest object in the sky during the day, and is the reason why moons appears bright during the night. For this reason, one should not look directly at it without protective eyewear.
This tag should only be used when the body of a sun is visible in a scene, usually from the perspective as observed from a planetary body, but may be observed from outer space.
At night, the sky is filled with small twinkles of distant stars, and other celestial objects. Although a sun is technically a star, it should not be tagged as one. Similarly a star as seen in a night sky should not be tagged as a sun.
