Aerial silk (aka. aerial contortion, aerial ribbons, tissu, etc.) is an aerial acrobatics discipline involving climbing and suspension from long weaves of silk. Common acts include aesthetic poses and the spiraling drop.

Realistic aerial silk performance is made possible by clever positioning of the silk across the body for weight bearing, as well as muscular strength.
