In real life, ophidicism is the sexual act of inserting a live snake into one's anus or pussy. For tagging purposes, this extends to all orifices and may cover cases where the snake willingly/forcibly enters (which real life snakes probably don't do), but is restricted to feral snakes only (not nagas). Depending on which end is being inserted and how much of the snake is in, this may or may not count as vore, tail sex, head insertion, full tour, prey transfer and/or snake impalement (either threaded by body or threaded by tail). Long enough snakes may also be capable of u-turn penetration or thread transfer.

The reason for the name of the tag is both because snaked is easier to spell and remember, but also because "ophidicism" is normally understood to include eels, which are covered by a separate eel_insertion tag.
