offscreen character

This tag implies a character that, while not in the image or animation, are still part of the scene, made more evident through things such as speech bubbles and the character's distinct shadow being visible in the post.

Not to be confused with

mostly_offscreen_character - For posts where most (not all) of the character is positioned outside the frame of the scene.
headshot_portrait or bust_portrait - when only the upper head or shoulders area are shown. It's not offscreen_character.
