Mithra are cat-like humanoids, of which only the females are playable characters, agile and dexterous, but slightly lacking in charisma and strength.

There are 8 selectable facial models for the Mithra race in Final Fantasy XI, and two hairstyles to select from. If you see examples of Mithra being drawn that look strangely similar, but lack a character tag, it is likely the character is based on one of the template styles packaged within the game.
