Spaceship Earth is a geodesic sphere that serves as the icon of Epcot in the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Standing 180 feet (55 m) tall with a diameter of 165 feet (50 m), this structure is one of the most famous theme park attractions in the world, with its distinctive appearance being similar to that of the Biosphère in Montreal. Covered in silver triangular Alucobond panels, it has also been called a giant "golf ball". The geosphere also houses an Omnimover dark ride of the same name that's focused on the history and advancement of human communication.
