Salandit is a Poison/Fire-type generation 7 Pokemon. It is is a small, black Pokémon resembling a salamander or lizard. Its body is dark gray with a black head and feet. Along its back and down its tail is an orange-red line. Its narrowed eyes are light purple with slit pupils and there are several tooth-like protrusions along its upper jaw. Its shiny color changes the body color from dark gray to white. Female Salandit are capable of evolving into Salazzle; male Salandit cannot evolve.

Found near volcanoes and caves, Salandit emit toxic gas and flames to defend themselves. The scent of its poison disorients opponents and attracts Bug-type Pokemon that Salandit prey on. Female Salandit are rare, and their poison contains pheromones that attract males of all species, including humans, and can be used to control them. Salandit often live in harems where they serve a single Salazzle.
