Simba is a male lion and the main character of the Disney film and franchise The Lion King.

He is the son of the Mufasa and Sarabi. Through the manipulations of his uncle Scar, his father is killed and is led to believe that he is responsible for his father's death. Running away far from the Pride Lands, he meets the meerkat Timon and the warthog Pumbaa, and they raise him as their own.

When Simba grows into an adult lion, he meets with his childhood friends Nala. Though they both grow to love each other, Simba refuses Nala's suggestions to return to the Pridelands and take his rightful place as King from Scar. Though after some convincing from Rafiki and his father's ghost, he finds the strength and courage to return to his home and take his rightful place as King.

After a battle with Scar with the help of his allies, Simba becomes King of the Pride Lands and restores peace. By the end of the movie, he and Nala bear a daughter named Kiara.
