The Shiba Inu (柴犬?) is a dog breed originally from Japan, now spread into multiple other nations such as the United States. A small, agile dog that copes very well with mountainous terrain, they were originally bred for hunting. They're known for their independent, strident nature and curly tails as well as their association with the 'doge' internet meme.
