MemberUndertale. Buy it on steam. Only ten dollary-doos.

MemberWould really love it if Frisk actually does this long after the player's influence has rubbed off.
TheCopyUniverse
BlockedAsriel needed a happy ending.
Pivo
MemberI was friggin' thinking this too. I wonder if there's any prayer of it being patched in as an alternate ending, but of course if that happened the game would lose its one fourth-wall-breaking character to ply your emotions regarding the Reset button.

MemberI wanted to do this. :(
If there was an option to do this, I would have taken it in an instant.

MemberI always wondered why this wasn't an option

Member...this could actually work. Asriel said that when a Monster takes a Human Soul, the Human Soul shares control. So it would be two people in one body.
On the other hand then the monster kingdom would lose their ambassador. It would have to be after true peace was reached. OOOOOOOR, once Frisk reached old age or otherwise was about to die/died and had their soul put in one of those containers to be delivered to Asriel. Frisk could write up a will for that purpose, even. "Give my soul to the talking flower living in the RUINS"

MemberI wish this could be done in the game...
NegaMajora
MemberThis should have been a possible ending... seeing as how it was pretty much Frisk's fault all this happened!

BlockedWoah, wait a minute....give up your physical body, and just be able to sit back and watch life on auto cruise and know you made someone else have another shot. So...you can sit back, while someone else exercises and reads while you nap.... but still get to be thin and smart from it. Sign me the fuck up.

MemberWhat? Asriel died way before Frisk even fell.

MemberI might get jumped on for saying this, but I feel like in storytelling terms is makes sense for the 'best ending' of the game to end up having a significant amount of unresolved bitterness in there. I guess it makes it more real. Doesn't it?
Real life being what it is, people pretty much never really succeed entirely. They can get close, but... not entirely... I'm not saying that I like it at all. But the incompleteness of the best ending gives it that strong 'reality' grip on you.
Dreaded-Warrior
MemberI felt the true pacifist ending with the entire "letting go of Asriel" even though you don't want to was kind of like letting go of people you cared about IRL but passed away or at least that's the feeling I got from it. Life's not fair but you have to move on and keep going forward bringing as much happiness to those that are still here with you as you can in a way to honor those that aren't.
But I'm rambling a bit.

MemberAs sweet as that is, I don't think that it works that way.
This is just my conjecture but...
Giving him a human soul wouldn't bring him back to life as he has already taken six previously and it hasn't worked. He needs his soul which was gone a long time ago. Assuming that he has already release all of the souls, he already has something resembling a his soul at that point. Whatever it is. It is slowly dying like a flame in a matchstick. He needs something to stop his "soul" disappearing rather than a new soul.
FeelingSanguine
Memberhow the game should have ended like seriously, TOBY TAKE NOTES!
TarhunBalthazar
MemberI truly wish that could happen.

Member"If only, if only," The woodpecker sighs, "the bark on the trees was soft as the skies."
While the wolf waits below, hungry and lonenly, crying to the moon, "if only, if only."

MemberAsriel's happy ending is going to be the plot of the third game, don't worry.
