Hey, good thing I don’t hit hard, right? The angle gets everyone else too; I don’t blame you. People don’t expect it from a feint, either. But hey, check this out: If you ever see someone torquing up like this… ? Like this, y’see? It’s for a reason, so get ready for them to unwind. A lot of fighting is torque, really. And for me a lot of times, I wait for someone to make the first move because it’s easier for me to counter than to get past defenses quickly. I hold onto that torque, so just as you finish swinging - or kicking, whatever - I’m primed. … Wanna try again~?
He gave you the first move since you were supposed to be ready for counters, so you went for a strike against his unguarded left side, only for it to be the pugilist’s form of a Fool’s Guard, and for his left arm to deflect the blow with ease. His right side tensed as his back arched. He did this last time, so you knew the punch was coming. You saw Nash’s right fist clench, and it kept torquing back like it was building up power, but his balance swiveled. You didn’t notice his leg tensing until it was too late. It came up, his left lean and right arm acting as counter balances as his right leg shot forward. You flinched… but it stopped in front of your face. With a gentle tap, the sole of the lizard’s foot tapped your face, tauntingly. … It was oddly soft. Cushioned, even.
Gotcha~! You think I’m just gonna do the same thing every time? Sure, some folks are predictable, but never predict predictability. Count on people to change it up and it’ll keep you on your… toes~, heheh! Sorry, I’ll stop holdin’ that pose. Anyway, I’ll teach you to catch kicks later. I’m starving; let’s get some chow. … Are you good? Ya look flush. Hey, I didn’t mean to make fun of… wait. Wait. You were oglin’ my–! … Nahhh, don’t lie to me~!
Hey, if you admit to it, I’ll let’cha ‘catch my kick’ right now~...
