Still-Life to Real-Life

We were drawing taxidermy animal Still-Lives today for class, and I decided to draw a little red panda that was at the corner of the display. As I drew it, though, something felt off. With every stroke of my pastel, It felt as if the panda was staring deeper into my soul. It felt like I was becoming more connected with the little guy, almost like I could just put my mind in his body and see the world through his eyes. I lost track of time, all I could focus on was the panda and my drawing, everything else fading away into nothingness. It didn't even feel like I was in my own body, it felt like I was floating in space, and the only things that existed were the panda and the drawing. Suddenly, my pastel slipped out of my hand and I snapped back into reality. I noticed my clothes felt extremely tight, and when I looked down to grab the pastel I dropped, I was shocked to see paws where my hands used to be. I had also become much longer, and rich, black fur covered me from my hands, down my chest, all the way to my feet, which had also changed into paws. My clothes were torn apart, and the few pieces that remained on my body were stretched tight, almost ready to burst. I stumbled backwards out of my chair in panic and looked around the class. Everyone was staring at me in disbelief and horror. My mind was racing, I just turned into a giant red panda, and everybody saw! I tried to run out of the classroom, but ended up stumbling and falling flat on my muzzle after a couple steps. still in a panic, I continued to run out on all fours and into a closet down the hall. I slammed the door behind me with my leg and leaned against it as I heard my professor run down the hall calling out my name. His voice eventually faded away, and, now tired, I curled up in the corner and fell asleep, hoping it was all just a bad dream.
