Extra Context:
I was unable to read the text in the game, but from my understanding, the pinkish cloud is supposed to be something like "good emotions". Anyway, Devilun is confused as to why that was the result instead of the other kind, so he uses his ability to read the character's mind. The rest is straightforward. At least, I think that's what is happening in the game.
