Despite their name, Treyachnids are not arachnids at all, but giant crustaceans related to crabs.
Considered the first “vehicle” unit on the battlefield, this 4.5-meter-tall creature
is fast under ocean depths and even faster on land.
Its armour, though light in comparison to other Hive
decapods, is more than enough to reduce weaker
units to ash with its one large eye—a
single shot from its laser can cut through
swarms of enemies, or put a hole in vehicles.
Unlike other crustaceans, the Treyachnid lacks a
proper mouth to consume food, however, it does
collect the remains of its kills from their ashes to gain the
nutrients it needs for its large body to store in mineral
chambers before disposal.
