Commissioned by Tony Barde, who wanted to see my WW1 doggos series continued with other participant countries.
As stupid as this sounds, this is one of the pieces I'm most proud of in my whole carreer. The reasons are quite technical, and the pose might be a bit stiff, but I did some really rendering when it came to transitions, shapes, shadow variantion, linework etc. All in all it was a culmination of some of the stuff I've learned applied to one of my favourite subjects, the one that got me started with all this. Hope you like it too!
