A friend told me about this game series, God Eater, and said there are creatures looking kinda like sphinxes. That of course got my attention :D

I didn't play myself, I don't think it's my genre exactly, but I've looked up oll of the aragami's that resemble sphinx anatomy and decided to draw one of them. First my attention was drawn by Dyaus Pita and Balfa/Prithvi Mata, but then I saw Arius Nova and my heart was taken. I can't decide if I like Arius Nova or Arius Nova Larval better, but for the sake of composition I had in mind Larval version is better (:

Even dusted off a paper and ink for that :D
Maybe I'll start to make more of traditional artwork, who knows.
