Description

Rhyder's sojourn across the west gave little chance to build companionship, let alone start a family. And, under his circumstance, he'd hardly look to make one as it were. But he was still a man, with the needs and desires that one would find comes with it. Lucky for him, companionship for the most base of those needs was but a journey into town and an exchange of coin away.

Today was special. It seemed there was a new face at the Velvet Railroad. Fresh and unworn by the world, it seemed Rhyder would get more than he'd bargained for when coming here. But don't let her young age belie her expertise. Abigale would be worth every penny spend that night.

------------

So it's been a while since I've done this version of Abigale, and it's not the most obvious what I mean if you're not in the know. You see, originally, Abigale was an Edwardian era courtesan. The version that most people are familiar with is, in lore, her... great-granddaughter through her son Hawthorn. Another fun fact I'm not sure if I've shared, the elder Abigale is the foundress of the Violet Sapphire. Yes, the same club that her great-granddaughter will go on to perform in.

But I digress. When I adopted Rhyder, I realized that the end of the wild west era overlapped with the Edwardian era. And though she'd be rather young and new in the world of prostitution, Abigale would have been active at the tale end of Rhyder's potential years. While I have no idea if this is canon*, it occurred that the potential for these two to meet and pair up, even just transactionally, was actually a thing. When Trog opened up for commissions, I decided to give her the chance to draw these two, and she accepted! So big thanks to her for this!
